CHINA SOURCING / BUYER GUIDE

Glass bottle sourcing from China for importers and distributors

I have traded and exported glass products, including bottles and drinking glasses. You can start a bottle enquiry with a reference photograph, intended use, estimated quantity and destination. Share any specifications you already know; we can work through filling, closure, packing and other details together, then confirm them with the relevant factory contacts in China before a formal quotation.

Tell me what the bottle needs to do

Send a drawing, reference bottle or photographs if you have them. Explain the contents and the filling process, including any temperature or other conditions the supplier needs to assess. A supplier should confirm suitability for your application and provide the documents you require before you commit.

  • Intended contents, target capacity and the dimensions or drawing available.
  • Shape, glass colour and preferred appearance or decoration.
  • Neck finish and the cap, stopper or other closure you plan to use.
  • Filling conditions, order quantity, packing and destination.
  • Required product documents, testing requirements or buyer specifications.

Existing shapes and custom bottle requests

We can first check whether a supplier has an existing shape that fits your brief. If you want a new shape, logo, colour or decoration, send the design and explain what must match. Tooling, sample work, minimum quantity and production timing need an individual supplier quotation.

For closures, share the specification or a reference sample if available. Ask the supplier to confirm the proposed bottle and closure combination; visual similarity alone should not be the basis for approving an order.

Make quotations comparable

I help bring together supplier responses against the same buying brief. We clarify whether the quotation covers bottles only or also closures, decoration, sample work, tooling and packing. Freight and destination services are discussed as separate parts of the agreed delivery scope.

Before ordering, confirm the selected product reference, approved dimensions, quantity, packaging and acceptance requirements. Any sample arrangements and costs should be agreed before samples are sent.

Common sourcing questions

Can you source a bottle that matches a photograph?

A photograph helps us identify the style. Share any known capacity, dimensions, neck and closure details, intended contents and estimated quantity. We can discuss missing details together, then ask suppliers to check whether an existing option fits or further design work is needed.

Can I request a custom shape or logo?

You can submit the design for a supplier assessment. Feasibility, tooling, decoration method, minimum quantity, sample charges and timing need confirmation for the proposed product.

What do I need for a formal glass bottle quotation?

For your first enquiry, send a reference photograph or link, estimated quantity, destination and the information you already have. Before a formal quotation, we confirm the product specification, packing, filling conditions, any closures or decoration, and required product documents with you and the relevant supplier.

Can I enquire before I have a bottle drawing?

Yes. Send a reference photograph or link, the intended contents, an estimated quantity and destination. We can start the discussion with those details and confirm the dimensions, closure, filling conditions and other requirements before a formal quotation.

Is there one minimum order quantity for all bottles?

No single minimum applies across every proposed bottle request. The supplier checks the chosen shape, available tooling, decoration, closure and quantity after your enquiry. Minimum quantities, prices and timing are confirmed for that selection before ordering.
