CHINA SOURCING / BUYER GUIDE
Electric tricycle and two-wheeler sourcing from China
I have traded and exported electric vehicles, including cargo and passenger tricycles, electric motorcycles and electric bicycles. I help importers and distributors discuss vehicle options with factory contacts in China, work through the configuration and coordinate the order scope we agree on. Start with a model reference or how the vehicle will be used, an estimated quantity, and your destination country and city. A full technical specification is not required to begin.
Choose the vehicle type and application
Tell me whether you need a cargo tricycle, a passenger tricycle, an electric motorcycle or an electric bicycle. Explain who will use it, what work or travel it needs to support and the destination country and city. A reference photograph or model link helps us discuss the options. Actual vehicle photos can be shared directly after you contact me.
- Vehicle type, preferred model or reference images, and intended application.
- Expected cargo, passenger or rider requirements for the proposed vehicle.
- Charging arrangements, battery preferences, requested functions and accessories, where known.
- Estimated order quantity, destination country and city, and required product documents.
- Any import, registration or road-use requirements already identified by your importer.
Cargo tricycles: define the load and cargo body
Describe the goods you will carry, their expected weight and dimensions, and how they will be loaded and unloaded. Include the route, road conditions and cargo body or loading arrangement you have in mind. These details give the supplier a clear brief for checking a proposed model.
We then check the available cargo body, stated payload, battery, charger and requested functions with the supplier. Any payload or performance figure must come from the confirmed specification for the selected vehicle before it is included in an order.
Passenger tricycles: confirm the intended passenger use
Explain the passenger use, seating needs, route and expected operating conditions. Send a reference for the body or seating arrangement if you have one. State whether the vehicle is intended for private use, a site or a transport service so the supplier can assess the configuration you want.
I take the open questions to relevant factory contacts and ask them to confirm the proposed model, seating and body arrangement, battery, charger and available features. The importer should verify the requirements for the intended passenger use in the destination before committing.
Electric motorcycles and bicycles: start with the model and riding use
For an electric motorcycle, we first identify the model or style you want, then work through the riding use, rider and load requirements, battery and charger options, and requested onboard functions. Share the charging arrangements and accessories you already have in mind; availability and compatibility are confirmed by the supplier.
For an electric bicycle, describe the intended riding use and preferred frame or model, then discuss the battery, charging setup and equipment you need. The supplier confirms the exact configuration and documents for review. Any stated range or performance needs supporting information for that configuration and its stated conditions.
Target markets and destination checks
I am developing new vehicle enquiries in the Middle East, India, Pakistan and South America. Please identify the specific country and city, especially when your destination is in the Middle East or South America, and explain how the vehicle will be used.
Import, registration, road-use requirements and battery transport arrangements need verification for the exact destination, model and configuration before ordering. Share the requirements or documents identified by your importer so they can be compared with the supplier's confirmed documentation.
Review an individual quotation and agree the order
I bring together supplier responses against the selected model and configuration. We clarify the battery, charger, accessories, packing, required documents, minimum quantity and production timing. Each customer request receives an individual quotation after these details and the requested services are checked.
Before ordering, confirm the product reference, configuration, quantity, packing, payment and delivery terms, and any agreed production follow-up. Freight, destination services, local charges and clearance responsibilities are checked separately when they form part of your requested scope.
Common sourcing questions
Can I choose the battery and onboard functions?
Share the battery requirements and functions you need. The supplier must confirm which options are available and compatible with the selected model, including the charger and the final quoted configuration.
Can you source both cargo and passenger electric tricycles?
Yes, both are within my export experience. For a cargo tricycle, describe the goods, expected load and cargo body. For a passenger tricycle, explain the passenger use, seating needs and body arrangement. Include a reference if available, estimated quantity, and destination country and city so I can check supplier options.
Will a sourced vehicle be eligible for registration in my country?
That must be checked for the exact model and destination before ordering. Provide your local requirements or the documents requested by your importer so they can be compared with the supplier's confirmed documentation.
Can I start with a vehicle photograph rather than a full specification?
Yes. Send a model reference or photograph, intended use, estimated quantity, and destination country and city. Share the battery, load and functions you already have in mind. We work through the remaining questions and confirm the available configuration with the supplier before a formal quotation.
When will the minimum quantity, price and lead time be confirmed?
After your enquiry, I check these details with the relevant supplier for the selected model, configuration, quantity and order scope. Each request is quoted individually. The time needed depends on your requirements and the supplier response.
Can you help if I already have a Chinese vehicle supplier?
Yes. Tell me what support you need, such as clarifying the vehicle configuration or coordinating agreed order arrangements. I review the request and confirm whether I can help and what the service scope would include.
